The driver of a white wagon reportedly drove out from a street on the eastern side and collided with Whittington and his companion, knocking them off the bike.The two were picked up and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where Thompson was pronounced dead on arrival.Whittington is still hospitalised, his relatives reported yesterday. He is in a stable condition though he suffered a broken shoulder. He also has a gash on his face and bruises about his body.Since Thompson lost her life, her Facebook Page has been flooded with messages from shocked friends who believe she was “gone too soon.”Just yesterday, relatives and friends took to the social media page to express grief. As they poured their hearts out, some said the 27-year-old was a loving, supportive and kind-hearted person who always offered a shoulder and words of encouragement in times of need. “I miss you my friend,” and “Why so soon?” many of her social media friends wrote on her Timeline.Other relatives published newspapers articles of the incident, calling for the culprit to be brought to justice. The family lost Thompson’s mother just a few months ago.A post mortem examination performed on Thompson showed that she died as a result of multiple injuries.
