As sustained efforts are made to protect the very much endangered sea turtles,Seconda Maglia Juve 2018/19, 32 wardens who are tasked with aiding conservation measures were recently awarded with certificates of appreciation for their invaluable involvement and contribution.They became eligible for the awards when the Guyana Marine Turtle Conservation Society (GMTCS) Sea Turtle monitoring project commemorated its 20th anniversary on June 28 last, according to Project Coordinator, Ms Michelle Kalamandeen.She disclosed that the event which was held in the Santa Rosa Community of Region One focused on sea turtle monitoring efforts that were engaged from 1988 to 2008 at Shell Beach.However, special awards were presented to Mr Audley James and Mr Compton Edmondson, sea turtle hunters who were converted to conservationists.?They were awarded for their exceptional dedication and energies which were instrumental in starting the sea turtle monitoring programme at Shell Beach.In receiving his award, James who is still actively participating in the monitoring programme commended all those who supported the project over the years and expressed optimism that it continues for? another 20 years and even more.Other wardens awarded were Chief Sea Turtle Warden Romeo DeFreitas, Donald James, Lawrence Williams,Jerseys From China, Patrick Williams, James Rodrigues, Davis Peters,Cheap Authentic Jerseys, Shawn Pritchard, Arnold Benjamin, Carlos James, Marlon La Rose, Dennis Gonsalves,Cheap NFL Jerseys, David Rodrigues, Jimmy Rodrigues,Cheap Jerseys China, Theodore Rodrigues, Romel Campbell, Mario Boyer, Michael DeFreitas, Sanjea France, Dayne Fredricks, Ryan Spencer, Calvin Benjamin, Dorin James, Narad Persaud, Raymond Edmondson, Fabian Salvador,Stitched Jerseys, Carl Edmondson, Leonard Thomas, Clifford Domingo, Violet James and Sirimavo DeFreitas.The awards were presented by the Region One Regional Chairman, Mr Fermin Singh and Ms Kalamandeen.
