It is understood that subsequently Edwards was attacked by a group of men who entered his yard and slashed, stabbed and severely beat him.The victim is said to have suffered injuries to his neck, forehead, chest, rib cage and other parts of his body.? A post mortem examination performed on the body by Dr. Vivekanand Brijmohan at the New Amsterdam hospital gave the cause of death as shock and haemorrhage due to multiple injuries.According to a source, Vanderburgh was picked out during an Identification parade as one of the persons who was seen entering and leaving the victim’s yard.In his no case submissions, attorney at law Mursaline Bacchus had stated that there was no case for his client to answer.
