An itinerant vendor was battling for his life last night after two gun-toting bandits shot him in the stomach outside the abandoned Piggott’s Drug Store located at the Regent and Bourda Street junction.Eyewitnesses said that Sanjay Persaud, 40, of Sisters Village,Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping, West Bank Demerara,Cheap Jerseys For Sale, was attacked by two gun-toting young men around 20:00 hrs while hanging out in the area with four other itinerant vendors.The robbers relieved the wounded man of two gold bands and a gold chain before fleeing.The victim was still undergoing surgery at the Georgetown Hospital Public Hospital at press time.People said that one of the four other vendors with whom he was drinking,Authentic NBA Store, said that they had been drinking earlier in the night and were hanging out in Regent Street when a man came up to them.He said that the man asked if they had any lighters to sell and he jokingly replied that they only had “bombs and guns” to sell.The vendor said that the man left the scene but came back shortly after in the company of another man.
