The US-Embassy,Anders Nilsson Jersey, under its Humanitarian Assistance Programme (HAP), on Wednesday donated five microscopes to the Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA).At a cost of US $1000 each, the microscopes will be housed at the Veterinary Diagnostic Lab which is currently under construction at Mon Repos,J.R. Smith Jersey, East Bank Demerara.Two of the five microscopes which is expected to help to detect parasites in livestock.During a simple handing over at the Agriculture Ministry on Regent Street, the Minister, Dr. Leslie Ramsammy said that he is grateful for the donation of the equipment that will help the Ministry in its aim to remove parasites from livestock.“We are endeavouring to ensure that we build a comprehensive animal health laboratory so that not only can we provide safe and quality food for our people, but also ensure that we meet the sanitary and phytosanitary standard that allow us to export,” Dr Ramsammy added.He said that his Ministry is moving towards becoming a major exporter of meat, meat products, and milk,Aaron Ramsey Arsenal Jersey UK, to the Caribbean and beyond.“Our vision, 2020, is to see Guyana a country that exports meat products,Deion Jones Falcons Jersey UK, and dairy products.
