Officials from the Ministries of Legal Affairs and Business met on Thursday withOfficials at the meeting chaired by AG, Basil Williams.representatives of the World Bank, for discussions on matters surrounding Guyana’s anti-money laundering compliance and business development. Drafting and implementation of critical legislations were also discussed.Attorney General (AG) and Minister of Legal Affairs, Basil Williams; Chief Parliamentary Counsel Cecil Dhurjon; and Solicitor General, Sita Ramlall were key members of the Legal Affairs team.They met with Alice Ouedraogo,Manchester City Fc Store, Senior Private Sector Development Specialist at the World Bank, with key officials of the Ministry of Business including the Permanent Secretary, Rajdai Jagarnauth. The meeting was held at the Attorney General’s Chambers.The focus was on improving the legislative framework for Guyana’s business sector.
